India GST Collections Rise 13.9 Percent in June 2026 to Touch Rs 1.94 Lakh Crore Driven by Record Import Revenue
India's gross GST collections for June 2026 came in at Rs 1,94,812 crore, growing 13.9 percent compared to Rs 1,71,105 crore collected in June 2025. The Finance Ministry released the provisional data on July 1, 2026. What stands out this month is that the growth was largely driven by imports rather than domestic activity. After adjusting for refunds, the net GST revenue stood at Rs 1,62,377 crore, up 11.2 percent year on year. The government paid out refunds worth Rs 32,436 crore during the month, which itself was 29 percent higher than the previous year. On a cumulative basis, total gross GST collections for the April to June quarter of FY27 reached Rs 6,31,699 crore, an increase of 8.4 percent over the same period in FY26.
