India to Host 4th India-Africa Forum Summit in New Delhi on 28-31 May 2026
India will host the Fourth India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV) in New Delhi from 28 May to 31 May 2026. The summit will be held with the African Union.
Background: The India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS) is the premier platform for India-Africa engagement. It brings together African leaders and the Indian government to strengthen political, economic and development ties. India has been actively expanding its presence in Africa under its Africa Outreach Policy. The previous IAFS-III was held in New Delhi in 2015 and was attended by all 54 African nations.
Why in News: India is hosting IAFS-IV in New Delhi from 28-31 May 2026 - the first such summit in 11 years - reflecting India's renewed commitment to deepening ties with the African continent.
